This week I visited the Vibrato Bar and Grill, the Griffith Observatory, and the Huntington Library

Inside the restaurant
This was my second time at Vibrato and my expectations were exceeded once again. Owned by Herb Alpert, a nine-time Grammy-winning music icon, this restaurant provides delicious meals and amazing music that satisfies all your senses.
Some things to note:
- Come early! Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are unhappy with your seat, don't be afraid to ask to move tables, the hosts will do their best to accommodate you.
- Backlot parking. Vibrato is located in a small strip mall and parking is often difficult to find, I recommend heading toward the back where there are a lot more spots available.
-
Make reservations! From my experience, reserving a spot a couple of days in advance will guarantee you a table, make your reservations no later than a day before! Vibrato usually has two performance times for you to choose from :)
- $45 minimum. Keep in mind that this is a dinner experience, because there is a $45 minimum per person, expect to have your meal there and not at home beforehand.
Griffith Observatory

Views from Griffith Park
The Griffith Observatory is one of my favorite places to visit when I don't know what to do but want to be outside, surrounded by nature. Griffith Park, adjacent to the Griffith Observatory is home to the Greek Theatre and boasts a variety of gorgeous hiking trails.
Some things to note:
- Come before or after sunset to secure a parking spot close to the observatory, I recommend giving yourself at least an hour window before sunset.
- Take advantage of telescope viewings! The Griffith doesn't always have their telescopes out, so when they are available to use, take that opportunity to see some super cool planets.
- Explore the surrounding trails. The picture above on the right was taken on one of the trails! Sunsets are beautiful up in the mountains.

"Family Fridays" at the Huntington
The Huntington Library hosts a family movie night on select Fridays in the summer and into the fall. I attended the showing of "Toy Story" this week and loved it! This event is definitely made for families but is open to everyone to participate. For movie dates, check out the
Huntingtons website for more information.
Some things to note:
- Coming early is not necessary for a good seat. When I attended, the event started at 6:30pm, I didn't arrive until around 7pm and was still able to snatch a great spot!
- Bug spray is recommended! As it got darker, there were a lot of bugs (including mosquitos) flying around, if you don't want to be swatting them away every couple of seconds, make sure to bring some.
- Bring supplies. This event does not provide any materials for guests, so bringing a blanket and chair is encouraged for the most comfortable viewing experience.
- Outside food and beverages are allowed except for alcohol, if you decide to not bring your own food, concessions are available for purchase before the movie starts.
